Ian Cockburn awarded George Churchwood Medal for 2025

The George Churchward Medal is Football NSW’s highest state-level award, recognizing individuals for outstanding, long-term, and dedicated service to association football (soccer) in New South Wales, going far beyond typical roles in coaching, refereeing, or administration, named after the esteemed pioneer who was the first recipient. Winners are celebrated for their exceptional commitment, often serving for decades at club, association, or state levels, with recent recipients including Ian Cockburn (2025)
